Senior Counselor 2022

Age required: 18 years and older

Positions available: 1 of 1 positions

Reports to: Camp Leadership

Dates: June/July

Short Day Time Job Overview:

Camp counselors lead program activities as well as live in and supervise their assigned group of Overnight campers. During activity periods, counselors are responsible for their activity areas, the junior counselor, CIT and for the group of campers assigned for that hour.

The Senior Counselors are responsible to ensure the organization of the camp groups and overall communication of the group between the group and the Camp Leadership/Trainers as needed. The Senior Counselors are to ensure that the campers and remaining team arrive at their areas and all meals on time, communicate any issues with team/campers as needed, assist to solve camper conflicts/situations and help ensure overall safety not only around the horses but everywhere around camp.

A camper spends more time with the counselors than with any other adult on camp campus, and can be most impacted by her for that reason. We want to create friendships, foster growth and independence, and make sure our campers have the best summer experience possible.

The job of a counselor is very intensive and requires much physical stamina and emotional maturity, so please understand the schedule and requirements beforehand.
