Our Story:
A Dream come true
Many years ago, a young girl spent all her free time at the neighboring riding stables in a small city close to Frankfurt, Germany. Her whole world turned around horses; she dreamed of one day setting up a facility where kids could learn to ride and fall in love with these amazing animals like she had.
2 Centuries later, she told her husband and two daughters who loved horses like she did about that dream she had kept onto over all this years and with their support and assistance they started working with both youngsters and horses, they started instructing riding lessons at a modest facility in Germany.
Their goal grew significantly in November 2012 when the family relocated from Germany to Camden, South Carolina. Carefully selecting the site for its new horse barn but yet being near the husband's work place, they purchased a charming ranch house with pastureland and ponds.
After much effort and dedication, they started teaching both adults and children from their rebuilt riding curriculum. By the end of 2013, Pony Gang, the riding school they started, was operating fully again, this time far from its beginnings in Germany.
Starting with the nine horses and ponies the family had brought from Germany, the program quickly expanded to become a vibrant riding community.
The family moved to a bigger facility in Hopkins, South Carolina in 2022 so that their horses would have more room and their students and campers would have an even better surroundings to learn and flourish.
With 25 actively involved in lessons, Pony Gang Farm today boasts 42 horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys. The Horseback Riding school is expanding annually and today it educates about forty regular students of all ages. Their goal of offering top-notch education in a family-friendly surroundings is more important than ever.
